Ages 16+ with a valid NYS license
This NY State-approved course can reduce up to 4 points on your MVR and lower auto liability, collision, and no-fault insurance premiums by 10% for three years. Open to any licensed New York driver age 16 or older.

Adults
The Community Center hosts English as a Second Language instruction for adults building fluency for daily life, work, and family. New learners are welcomed at every level.

All ages · Volunteer-led
Located on South Avenue in the heart of Cortland, the Community Learning Garden is turning an unused lot into a shared space for growing food, learning about composting and cooking, and enjoying the outdoors together. Follow the garden's Facebook page for volunteer days and seasonal updates.

Every December the Community Center is decorated with holiday lights, and residents across Cortland are invited to share photos of their own decorated homes on the Community Center's Facebook page.

The following are ideas the Community Center is exploring for the future. They are not currently active programs. Each one will depend on community interest, volunteer support, and partnerships to become a reality.
A planned initiative to offer free digital-literacy learning — computer basics, internet safety, resume building, small-business tools, and more — for neighbors of every age.
Potential after-school and seasonal recreation, arts, and leadership programming for local youth.
Ideas for regular gatherings, games, and guest talks designed for older adults in the Cortland community.
A future series of skill-sharing classes and creative workshops open to the public.
Potential blood-pressure clinics, wellness talks, and gentle-movement classes hosted in partnership with local providers.
